Returning to Sports for Elite Youth Athletes
Please join us for another installment of our Pediatric Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Virtual Lecture Series, hosted by the Division of Orthopaedics and the Sports Medicine and Performance Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
This event, “Returning to Sports for Elite Youth Athletes,” will highlight the unique challenges facing high-level, youth athletes who sustain injuries and want to return to competition as soon — and as safely — as possible.
Physician speakers will address injuries noted during the rapid rise in sports participation after a prolonged time away from activity, due to COVID-19 or other factors. Speakers will provide guidance on rehabilitation, fitness, and a regimented return to peak performance. The discussion will focus on the elite athlete, however, the principles addressed will be applicable to recreational athletes as well.
This virtual event is offered free. Approval of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) for this lecture is pending.
Future events in the Pediatric Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Virtual Lecture Series include:
