FPIES Diagnosis, Management and Collaborative Approach to Treatment

In this lecture, specialists from both the allergy and gastroenterology divisions will team up to discuss the differences in presentation in patients with FPIES and the possibility of concomitant diagnoses. The latest developments in the treatment of FPIES with a nutritional approach will be reviewed as well as the importance of food challenges in patients with FPIES.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify differences in presentation in patients with FPIES (acute vs. chronic).
2. Review concomitant diagnosis (possibility of gastroesophageal reflux, constipation)
3. Discuss differential diagnosis of patients with FPIES and how team approach is important in patients with FPIES.
