Katie K. Lockwood, MD, MEd, is an Attending Physician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Primary Care, South Philadelphia, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. As a primary care pediatrician, she focuses on the overall health and wellness of children and adolescents in the Philadelphia community, with a special focus on adoption medicine, managing healthcare of children in foster care, breastfeeding and medical education.
Dr. Lockwood also serves as the Director of Behavioral Health Education in CHOP’s Pediatric Residency Program, and Director of Continuing Education for the CHOP Care Network. In 2016, she launched a new podcast for pediatricians, Primary Care Perspectives, in which CHOP subject-matter-experts weigh in on issues affecting the daily practice of pediatricians. Dr. Lockwood received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA, her Masters in Education from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ, and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was chief resident.
